Putting it all into perspective…

If one is at all graphically challenged (or like your correspondent, hopeless), one will appreciate ArtisanCam’s “Canaletto: Exploring Perspective,” a quick and elegant tutorial on the 18th century Venetian landscape master and the techniques he used to give his painting depth and…  well, perspective.

As we clean our brushes, we might recall that on this date in the year (1769) after Canaletto died (1768), Father Junipero Serra founded the first of the California missions, Mission San Diego de Alcalá, in what is now known as San Diego.
