From cradle? Too grave!…

Young graduates are discovering that personnel departments can find their MySpace pages– and those salacious snaps from Spring Break– as easily as anyone else.  This dawning realization that anything ever published on the web is *always* available on the web notwithstanding, now there is Totspot, a social network that revolves around the newborns…  So new entrants to the work force 18-21 years from now will have an extra anxiety:  they’ll have to pray that the drone in HR never found that bassinet photo…

As we “secure erase” the incriminating evidence, we might click our heels three times in birthday greeting to Judy Garland, born this date in 1922…  though her own account of her nativity was somewhat different: “I was born at the age of twelve on a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer lot.”
